Settlement states
Every settled pick resolves to one of these states:
| won | Selection was correct. Profit credited at recorded odds. |
| lost | Selection was incorrect. Staked units lost. |
| push | Stake returned. No profit or loss (e.g. exact handicap). |
| void | Pick cancelled (e.g. event abandoned). Stake returned, excluded from ROI. |
| cancelled | Removed before settlement. Does not count toward the record. |
| pending | Event not yet settled. Excluded from ROI until approved. |
Who reviews settlements
Results are submitted after an event and then reviewed by a TipStaq admin against the original timestamped pick. Only admin-approved settlements update a public record. The review and any changes are kept in an audit trail.
Evidence and disputes
Settlements are checked against the recorded market, selection and odds. Where a result is ambiguous (void, push or cancelled events), the recorded rules decide the outcome and the stake handling.
Important: user-uploaded bet slips can verify entries in a person's own private Pick Vault, but they do not automatically verify public tipster records. Public records come only from picks published on TipStaq.
Frequently asked questions
Who approves settlements?
A TipStaq admin reviews each submitted result against the original timestamped pick. Only approved settlements update the public record.
What happens with a void or push result?
Void and push return the stake and are excluded from ROI so they neither inflate nor deflate a record.
Do private Pick Vault entries affect verified records?
No. Private Pick Vault entries and bet-slip uploads are private to the user and never affect any public tipster record.
How is ROI calculated?
ROI is profit in units divided by total units staked across settled picks, shown alongside the settled-pick count and time window.
